"Det var en minneverdig opplevelse å høre disse tre, den totalt unike Necks-trommisen Tony Buck for anledningen på baytongitar for ikke å glemme gong, et av bloggens absolutte favorittmennesker Ståle Liavik Solberg på lite trommesett, og Anja Lauvdal på synth og piano på Café Mir for noen år siden. Men de har gjort flere opptredener, i hvert fall en på Hærverk i fjor, som nå er utgitt på kafeens eget label. Lydtekniker Jens Ole Bjerkan fanget magien. Med tre musikere vi har hørt så ofte som disse kan man kanskje bli blasert, men duverden som man også kan glede seg over idérikdommen, lydvalgene og ESP-kontakten de klarer å opprette mellom seg. Make it new! Hver eneste gang. Det knatrer og klimprer godt i motbakke til tider, men vi henfaller også ofte i lauvdalsk ekstase ved klaveret og føler oss som en del av Solbergs stikker på sin ferd over settet, og få ting er vel viktigere i livet enn dét. Det er syv korte stykker på denne platen, eller gemstones kan vi jo omtale dem som, og for anledningen kaller vi «GIlded Splinters» en hyllest til Harald Are Lund. Gå til bandcamp eller møt opp i baren for å skaffe dere denne herligheten før det er tomt — lykken venter."

On my ear? The first in (presumably) a series of recordings displays the Chicago collaboration of Quin Kirchner, Matthew Lux, and Daniel Van Duerm delivering refreshing psychedelic reverie that drips through the speakers, climbing to the cells to soothe, warm, and lift the soul.
